Resource Centers

As the community center of campus, it is the Union’s job to make everyone feel welcome, and the resource centers are a huge part of that.

Center for Child Care & Family Resources

Located on the fourth floor of the Union, the Center for Child Care & Family Resources offers a comprehensive guide to child care resources and information that supports parents in their search for a variety of child care and family services.

Center for Disability Services

Located on the first floor of the Union, the Center for Disability Services is dedicated to students with disabilities by providing the opportunity for success and equal access at the University of Utah. They are committed to providing reasonable accommodations as outlined by Federal and State law. They also strive to create an inclusive, safe and respectful environment. By promoting awareness, knowledge and equity, they aspire to impact positive change within individuals and the campus community.

International Student & Scholar Services

Located on the fourth floor of the Union, the mission of the International Student & Scholar Services is to provide comprehensive support to international students and visiting scholars through the provision of visa services, opportunities to interact with the community, and access to a lifelong network of international colleagues. Through this they hope to support the University in its commitment to scholarship, research, and community service. Their goal is to enable the international community to be successful during the time they spend at the University of Utah.

LGBT Resource Center

Located on the fourth floor of the Union, the LGBT Resource Center provides a comprehensive range of education, information and advocacy services, and works to create and maintain an open, safe, and supportive environment for LGBT students, staff, faculty, alumni and the entire campus community.

Women’s Resource Center

Located on the fourth floor of the Union, the Women’s Resource Center (WRC) at the University of Utah serves as the central resource for educational and support services for women. Honoring the complexities of women’s identities, the WRC facilitates choices and changes through programs, counseling, and training grounded in a commitment to advance social justice and equality.

Office of Student Equity and Diversity

Located on the second floor of the Union, Student Equity and Diversity (SED) is the student programming and support division of the University of Utah Office for Equity and Diversity. SED provides leadership, education and coordination of all student diversity support programs, initiatives and cultural events managed by the Office for Equity and Diversity. SED serves over 3,000 students annually who self-identify as LGBT and/or historically underrepresented students of color.

Veterans Support Center

Located on the fourth floor of the Union, the Mission of the Veterans Support Center is to improve and enhance the success of student Veterans; to help them receive the benefits they deserve; to serve as a liaison between the Veteran student community and the University; and to increase their academic success. Additionally to provide an opportunity to continue the relationships built through the service in civilian life.
