    Strolling for Scholarships 2021 Recap

This past April 16th- April 30th, the Union hosted a hybrid Strolling for Scholarships event. The two-week hybrid event provided guests opportunities for in-person viewing in Crimson View and online art gallery viewing. The event consisted of scheduled art gallery viewings with friends and family, ten local artists, spectacular views, and COVID-19 safety measures. After the success of the first Strolling for Scholarships, this event has now become a staple avenue of fundraising for the Union Scholarship Fund. For the second time in a row, we are happy to share that we raised enough to fund a scholarship for the 2021-2022 academic year.

This annual Strolling for Scholarships event is made possible by the generosity of our participating artists. All participating artists shared 50% of their proceeds with the Union Scholarship Fund. Artists at this event comprised seasoned and beginner artists of all types of skill and artistry. There were paintings, digital illustrations, portraits, photographs, and plenty of prints. Our longtime friend of the Union, Ran Stewart, exhibited a great collection of his art again alongside popular artworks of Ecaterina Leonte and Ryan Steadman-Eves.

With another successful Strolling for Scholarships behind us, we want to thank all the artists and guests for your continued commitment to students. We award over $200,000 in scholarships to students annually, and we cannot do this without your support. Thank you all, and stay tuned for our next Strolling for Scholarships event next year!
