Interview Process

After filling out and submitting this form, you will be contacted to schedule an interview with the selection committee which will include the current area managers as well as Jeremy Wilkerson, the Assistant Director of Marketing. Additional Union staff members may join the interview.

During the interview you will be asked questions about the job and asked to present your mangement plan. You may present using a slide presentation, video, or any style of presentation you prefer.

Please read through the Lead Building Manager Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and train a staff of 10+ employees that work at the Union and Gardner Commons
  • Schedule staff while accommodating individual class schedules and events
  • Oversee the hiring, discipline, and termination of employees
  • Monitor and budget monthly income/expenses for the area
  • Organize, manage, and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously
  • Communicate effectively with a diverse population of students and employees
  • Work with costumers to resolve complaints
  • Available for on call needs during business hours
  • Collaborate with Union administration and other area managers
