Resource Centers
As the community center of campus, it is the Union’s job to make everyone feel welcome, and the resource centers are a huge part of that.
Center for Child Care & Family Resources
Located on the fourth floor of the Union, the Center for Child Care & Family Resources offers a comprehensive guide to child care resources and information that supports parents in their search for a variety of childcare and family services.
Center for Disability & Access
Located on the first floor of the Union, the Center for Disability & Access is dedicated to students with disabilities by providing the opportunity for success and equal access at the University of Utah. They are committed to providing reasonable accommodations as outlined by Federal and State law. They also strive to create an inclusive, safe and respectful environment. By promoting awareness, knowledge, and equity, they aspire to impact positive change within individuals and the campus community.
Inclusive Excellence
Located on the basement of the Union, Inclusive Excellence engages, supports, and provide an environment fostering the values of respect, diversity, equity, inclusivity, and academic excellence for students in our increasingly global campus community
International Student & Scholar Services
Located on the fourth floor of the Union, the mission of the International Student & Scholar Services is to provide comprehensive support to international students and visiting scholars through the provision of visa services, opportunities to interact with the community, and access to a lifelong network of international colleagues. Through this, they hope to support the University in its commitment to scholarship, research, and community service. Their goal is to enable the international community to be successful during the time they spend at the University of Utah.
LGBT Resource Center
Located on the fourth floor of the Union, the LGBT Resource Center provides a comprehensive range of education, information and advocacy services, and works to create and maintain an open, safe, and supportive environment for LGBT students, staff, faculty, alumni and the entire campus community.
They provide educational and social programs, support services, and resources intended to:
- Raise awareness regarding lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender issues.
- Affirm lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender identities and lives by fostering a safe, inclusive, multicultural environment for the University’s LGBT community.
- Support the academic mission of the University of Utah by promoting the inclusion of LGBT topics in the curriculum and other academic programs.
- Build linkages with other LGBT organizations and allied programs through outreach and community development efforts.
TRIO Programs
Located on the basement of the Union, The Federal TRIO Programs are federal outreach and student services programs in the United States designed to identify and provide services for individuals from disadvantaged backgrounds. They are administered, funded, and implemented by the United States Department of Education
Women’s Resource Center
Located on the fourth floor of the Union, the Women’s Resource Center (WRC) at the University of Utah serves as the central resource for education and support services for women. Honoring the complexities of women’s identities, the WRC facilitates choices and changes through programs, counseling, and training grounded in a commitment to advance social justice and equality.
Center for Equity and Student Belonging
Located on the second floor of the Union, The Center for Equity and Student Belonging (CESB) creates community and advocates for academic success and belonging for students across inter-sectional identities and experiences among our African, African American, Black, Native, Indigenous, American Indian, Asian, Asian American, Latinx, Chicanx, Pacific Islander, Multiracial, LGBTQ+, Neurodiverse and Disabled students of color.
Veterans Support Center
Located on the fourth floor of the Union, the Mission of the Veterans Support Center is to improve and enhance the success of student Veterans; to help them receive the benefits they deserve; to serve as a liaison between the Veteran student community and the University; and to increase their academic success. Additionally to provide an opportunity to continue the relationships built through the service in civilian life.
